Receptionist/Customer Service
The Customer Service Specialist: 1) greets and directs visitors; 2) responds to questions, and/or resolves concerns of internal and external stakeholders; 3) provides information updates to stakeholders, and 4) when time permits, provide general clerical support.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Respond to phone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries in a pleasant, timely, informed and professional manner to reinforce a positive image of the Academy
- Resolve routine staff and stakeholder concerns if possible, by clarifying the issue, determining the cause,proposing solutions, and following up to ensure resolution if necessary
- Refer non-routine concerns to the appropriate staff member and follow-up to ensure resolution
- Manage telephone message system as needed to inform stakeholders of important updates
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, clean, and orderly reception area
- Operate standard office equipment such as a personal computer, copier, and fax
- Ensure confidential information is not disclosed, visible, or accessible without approval
- Type routine correspondence, notices, and other office documents
- Manage the sorting and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and shipments
- Engage in routine data entry into spreadsheets or forms, on-line or on paper
- Maintain data/records and compile routine reports on office visits, inquiries, and follow-up
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Customer Service mindset; energized by helping others
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in a customer service role
- Experience working in schools or with children in an organizational setting
