Returning Families

Please find specific instructions below for families returning to Genesis Innovation Academy for the 2026/2027 academic school year.

Intent to Return form will be available via the Power School parent portal on December 1, 2025.

Parents will need to submit their Intent to Return by February 9, 2026 to secure their slot for next school year.

If a parent does not submit by the due date, they will lose their scholar's seat and will have to submit a new application to be placed on the waitlist.

Step 1: Submit Intent to Return by February 9, 2026.

Parents of currently enrolled Genesis scholars must complete this Intent to Return form if they plan on returning their scholar to the school for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year.

To access the Intent to Return form from your computer, log into your Power School Parent Portal.  Click the "Forms" icon located in the menu on the left side of the page.  Then click on the “Intent to Return” form.

To access the form from the Power School App on your phone, click the More button and then click on Forms and finally click on the Intent to Return form.  If you do not see the Forms option under the More tab, you may have to log out of the App and then log back in.  Please also ensure that you are on the latest version of the Power School App.

The deadline to complete your Intent to Return online form is February 9, 2026.  Unfortunately, if you miss the deadline, your scholar's seat will no longer be reserved. Please contact Admissions for more information.

Step 2: Complete Online Registration in March 2026

All returning families must complete the Returning Families registration. The Returning Families registration will be sent in March. Families will receive an email with instructions on completing the required registration.

Families must submit the registration forms by the last day of school or lose their scholar’s seat for the following school year.

 

All returning families must review and update the following forms in their Power School Parent Portal. These forms will be available in March 2026.

  • McKinney-Vento Homeless Survey (if applicable)
  • Parent/Guardian Contact Info
    • Parents/Guardians must indicate lives with and/or custody when updating contact information. MUST INCLUDE EMAIL AND PHONE NUMBER.
  • Parent Acceptable Use Policy for Technology
  • Emergency Contacts
